Last Sunday we had a talk about finances. It was difficult. We’re at different places. I’m a spendthrift she’s not. I track my finance quite closely. I’m not yet ready to give up the luxuries (iPhone, broadband – what about my son who’s on xbox live).

Decided enough was enough. Time to look at a budget. Time to pay off the credit cards. Need to think of the future, replacements, education. So the breakdown is in a couple of spreadsheets. Looks like a marathon and not a sprint.
